Muramasa the demon blade

Muramasa, you are one sick ass game bud.

Essentially this game is a throw back to old school beat em ups/sidescrollers. The game hits so many genres it's epic.

The game is basically a side scroller, platforming, beat em up, with rpg and shmup (shoot em up ) elements.
At the start of the game you have a choice between two ninjas/ characters, I went ahead and choose the girl character. and started in beginner mode. I was doing combos that literally involved 100 hits.
While progressing through the game you could upgrade your Muramasa(sword) to many different blades. you had a choice to upgrade to long blades and short blades, the upgrade system worked similar to the upgrade system of that in Final fantasy X. It's basically a grid that you move around and use points gained in battle to spend on new blades, the whole thing is very addictive,
Now this game is a throw back to the old school, but the game is simply stunningly beautiful to look at , and the graphics are inspired by old Chinese water paintings.( think Okami..)

Now I haven't completed the game 100% , as there are two modes for two characters, (normal and hard)

I have completed the girls side of the story, in normal mode. 

I'm very satisfied with the addicting game play, a throw back to old school  with a new school art design that's incredibly beautiful to look at .8/10
